10 Creative Offers That Got Me to 100+ Paid Subs on Substack in 2025
Simple (yet creative) things I tried, tweaked, and kept because they actually worked.
My Wander Wealth community grew to 7,500+ humans within one year. And I am damn proud of that.
Actually, this note I wrote this morning sums it up perfectly:
I never saw myself as creative. I thought that meant being good at drawing or making beautiful things with your hands.
But I’ve learned I am creative. With my words, and even with my offers.
And I do think it’s a big part of why people sign up for my paid publication.
So, today I want to share with you 10 ideas that helped me get over 100 paid subscribers in 2025.

It Starts With Realizing What You Have
I’m meeting so many talented people who are stuck in some kind of thought pattern they’ve built up for themselves.
For me, it was “I’m not creative at all.” For others, it might be “I don’t have anything special to offer.”
But you do. Believe me.
You own your thoughts, experiences, your journey — and that alone is enough to write about and share with others.
Most of us have knowledge people would gladly pay for. But we downplay it because it feels easy now. We forget how long it took to learn, figure things out, and get to where we are.
Don’t forget this:
If you’re not sure what to offer your paid subscribers, you will by the end of this post.
10 Ideas You Can Offer to Paid Subscribers
You don’t have to offer all of these at once. Pick a few to start with, see what clicks with your readers, and switch things up as you go. Nothing’s set in stone.
1. Paywalled Articles
Simple but powerful. Write something valuable, then make it exclusive to paid readers. They’ll appreciate the deeper dive. What I do quite often is write about the problem, and the solution, and then paywall the exact steps to get there. For this article, I may later on switch the 10 steps here behind a paywall, but because I feel this article should be read by many, I keep it free for now.
2. Monthly AMA Calls
Host a casual live Q&A every month. Let paid subscribers ask you anything. It builds connections fast. It also gives your audience a chance to connect with each other in real conversations. It’s a real community-building activity.
3. Paid-Only Chat Access
Let only paid subscribers start threads in your Chat. It’s a great way for them to ask questions, feel seen, and connect with others in the community. Especially the “being seen” part is appreciated in my community. I ask every new paid subscriber to introduce themselves in the chat - not everyone does it, but it gives a chance to immediately jump in front of 7500+ readers in my community.
4. Community Access via Chat
Your Chat can be your community. Keep it cozy, supportive, and make it clear it’s a space for paid folks to grow together. I like to start threads that have more of a community feeling and vibe. For example this one:
5. Personal Growth Tips
Every Friday, I share a growth tip just for paid subscribers (also via the chat) and they can send me their publication for feedback based on that tip. It’s time-intense, but personal and again helps people be seen and not be just a number within your audience.
6. Access to a Course / eBook / Resource
Offer a course or PDF that helps them get unstuck and include a way to reach you directly if they have questions. That extra access is worth a lot. When you sign up for my paid publication, you get direct access to my “Grow Your Substack Email Course”.
7. Live Workshops & Sessions
Do a monthly live workshop, like the bootcamp I’m hosting this week. Or run shorter LIVE sessions on Substack where you teach something or walk people through a system. It helped me increase my conversation rate from free to paid for sure.
8. Templates, Launch Plans & Behind-the-Scenes
Give people the real stuff: your launch outline, email templates, a before-and-after of something that worked. Even screenshots. It’s gold to someone one step behind you.
9. Growth Boosts
Again: help people get seen. I run Boost Mondays for paid subscribers and a free version on Wednesdays. Everyone wants visibility (no matter what your topic is) give them space to share and grow.
10. Personal Perks (Tailored to Your Audience)
This one’s my favorite. Offer something extra relevant to your people.
If you write for copywriters, share a list of Substackers looking for writing help. If you serve authors, share a list of indie publishers they can pitch.
That kind of thoughtful bonus feels like magic.
That’s it! I am 100% sure that with some of these 10 ideas, you will convert your free to paid subscribers.
If you want help with your paid offer and how to actually launch it, you know where to find me.
