that highly depends on what exactly you write about and who you WANT to target - maybe you can assess a bit who is already reading and interacting with your newsletter.
Thank you Claudia for your generosity and your simplicity. I looove simple! š This is definitely helpful for a Substack publication that one wants to monetize. I will follow this structure with my second publication Mastering Crazy English, that I will launch soon. š
OMG I'll never be able to do anything you mention here. I have AuADHD and this is entirely overwhelming. I am a creator Claudia. I spend all my time getting my creations going. I'm lucky to get my work out with any coherence at all. Doing what you say is an entire marketing operation that needs tremendous time/mental and physical energy. It's an entire different department from what I am doing. What the hell am I supposed to do?
No worries, you are doing fine! It's step by step, I didn't start like that either, but it was a 1 year process. So start with whatever feels manageable for you and you will grow it from there
In an online space teeming with exceptional writers it is not easy to stand out by defining what needs one can fulfil. Thank you for the pointers, it will be definitely useful
maybe start by just having a conversation, ask them what brought them to Substack, what and why they write, just be curious to learn more :) and eventually you can ask what specifically they liked about your publication and writing
It seems from this that earning on Substack is more about marketing than writing. And marketing in different cultures works differently too. In one country it's more in your face than in another. Tricky! I'm a quiet writer not a saleswoman. I'll keep writing anyway.
I am writing the BTS of my travel newsletter and trying to build my insideletter as the biggest newsletter cohort in India, whom should I target?

A great article, Claudia. I still feel like my newsletter is a bit off and I have too many dreamy ideas for it.

thank you Dr Priyanka! if you have any questions, let me know. happy to help :)
I actually want to ask people, like you said, Claudia, to find out what they really want from me. But I feel blank on how to ask it and all.

I like Poe AI for formulating questions
I'll check. Thank you, Chavez
